Shut Up

I have recently experienced a slew of Giants fans that I have not yet seen before actually say or even mention the Giants before in my life. As a kid and well till now, I have always loved baseball. I know I'm not you stereotyical baseball fan, I'm not white, male, puerto rican or a butch lesbian but I admire the sport very much. I had always been teased for not liking soccer, considering I was Mexicans and that's what Mexicans do. I hate soccer, and I love baseball. I always get into debates about baseball be it the opposer says it's boring, its stupid, no one likes it, blah blah blah. Yet in the past week have seen a mass attention of Giants, I log into Facebook and it "I love the Giants", "Let's go Giants" or "Yeah, were in the playoffs", who's we? Last time I check these were the people critizing baseball, calling it boring and dumb. These people are what are known as people on the
bandwagon
. The bandwagon as defined by urban dictionary is
1. When someone adopts a popular point of view for the primary purpose of recognition and/or acceptance by others.
2.Suddenly giving a damn when a team gets good.

My point exactly. Let's say I'm walking down the street and I ask some chick wearing a giants shirt, "Hey, who's the catcher for the Giants and do you think he has chance of winning mvp this season?" or to the guy at the bar with all his bros wearing a giants hat all thugged out, " So what do think about Torress dramactic change, considering he's been in the leagues how long?". Oh that's right you didn't know that Buster Posey was catcher, or that Torres has been in the leagues 13 years and use to be a college track star before ebing in baseball. No, none of that matters to the bandwagon fans, all they care about is wearing their teams gear in front of their friends and going to sports bar and having drinks. You don't even know how the fucking game is played all you know is that your local team is in the playoffs and you want to be part of it. Cut the bullshit, sit down for 3 hours watch the whole game without distractions and tell me if you still find it sooo interesting.

On another note, the Giants won't win the world series. When was the last time they won since moving to San Francisco. Oh that's right, NEVER. So don't be fake sad, leave it to the real fans to be sad when they loose. Like every other bay area team, they will let us down. The Warriors let us down like 3 seasons ago, A's let us down every game to be honest, and the Sharks... well let's not go there.

So have fun being "cool", it won't last long.
